Resistance Film & TV Series

Resistance is a movie and mini-series from the producer of Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back and it was another fun project. The whole page is flash and features interactive elements such as the video player and profiles of the characters.

I designed it so that it’s liquid with elements resizing when the browser does, so they always fill the screen.

Sharepoint Website

After many designs the CEO and I finalised on this design for OBS’s website. Implementation into Sharepoint wasn’t an easy task, there is a lot to do to make a standards compliant SharePoint web-facing site. And this was back in 2007. The flash on the home page has editable text- users within the sharepoint system can edit these as feilds that update the text in the flash file.

McDonald’s Kanga Cup

This website for my friends at 2b.com.au was a bit of fun. The Kanga Cup is a junior football (soccer) tournament attracting teams from around the world. They needed to update their website- the last one look very frontpage circa 2001 and didn’t really service their needs. Keeping their required colour scheme I applied a more spacious design and made more use of header area- putting in a little flash game on the home page (see how long you can keep the ball in the air- my record’s 24).

Full CMS give the staff at Capital Football editing control- they can post new libraries of photos as the event takes place and they can interact with the players and parents easily via the website.

Working with several stakeholders at RDNS I created a site taxonomy, recommended some business processes and redesigned their website.

Cut Through Advertising

Bruce Mackay from Cut Through Advertising needed a better and more engaging way to showcase his work. Bruce had the idea for a lounge room with a TV playing his Ads. So after a fair bit of flash programming and trickery to get the file size down to only 110kb and all other content streaming and externally loading, I got a great flash peice up.

Laneway Productions

I was approached by this start up production company to create their Brand identity and stationery. We went through several designs- maintaining an urban and organic feel. The end result is a clear brand, readable and individual character. The organic ‘Y’ makes the design stand out and works as a design element for future brand work.
